Carving Pumpkins and Class Parties

We love visiting the pumpkin patch and then carving the pumpkins, getting all gooey picking out the seeds and then roasting them for snacking! The girls have gotten very creative with their requests and Elli is just sure that she could do it by herself....but I'm pretty sure she needs all her fingers for later on in life! Quentin already stresses enough with just me using long, sharp knives. He always announces, "Look out, Mommy's got a knife." Not once have I gotten hurt! We had lots of fun again this year....it is always lots of work and lots of clean up but it sure is fun to make family memories in the process. Not sure when Owen will get involved but he wasn't too thrilled about the gooey stuff this year...and he sure didn't like the taste! (He doesn't know about salted, toasted pumpkin seeds!)

We love making messes and digging out the seeds!

The finished products....

Owen wasn't too sure about the sticky seeds...we cleaned them up before he started shaking them off all over the place!!!

Elliana had fun with her friends at school.

The whole class......really fun bunch of kiddos.

Making a picture frame.

Owen waited patiently through it all.

Musical chairs....she won!

The kids had a fun time getting dressed up!

Jessalyn's class got to parade around the school.

Jess' class with her teachers!

Fishing for letters and naming that letter.

Musical colors

The best....snack time!

It was a crazy morning trying to be at Elli's party at 9am and then Jess' party at 10am. But it was lots of fun for all of us! The girls had a great time and Owen got to run around at Jess' party so he was happy. It will be nice next year when they are in the same school building!!

OH, capital C..U..T..E! My boys were never too big into dressing up but I do remember one costume with fondness. I stitched a tiger outfit for the ky one year out of tiger striped polar fleece. It turned out pretty good and lasted through korb and a couple of other kids.

Great job on the pumpkin carving!

Such pretty princesses! I was worn out after just Anna's party, can't imagine two parties. Too funny that Elli won musical chairs... she's not competitive is she? :) Anna was the last girl to get out at her party... she was just a bit aggressive. :)
